Navigating Loss During COVID-19: A Grief & Bereavement Support Group

Offered online for those in the Tri-State Area (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut)

Price: $25/session

Duration: 60 minutes and held weekly for 6 weeks

Octave’s Navigating Loss During COVID-19 Grief and Bereavement Group will provide a supportive environment for those who have experienced loss of a loved one to COVID-19. Surrounded by those who are facing a similar range of emotions, group members will receive and offer emotional support, while gaining an understanding of the stages of grief and how these are impacted by the current pandemic.

Together we will recognize the complex set of circumstances around grief during a time where loved ones can't be with the one who has died, and cannot physically be with support network during time of mourning (i.e., social distancing).

Furthermore, we’ll discuss rituals around death that have been interrupted (funeral and other rituals), and how this pandemic is making it harder to move through the grief. We will also explore the impact of not being able to do regular rituals and explore alternate ways of memorializing loved ones during this time.

This group requires a consultation prior to enrollment. Please email us if you are interested in joining this group, and a member of our team will reach out to set up a consultation.
