Octave is partnering with Anthem Blue Cross in significantly expanding mental health services in California

California coast

Mental health services are a pervasive and growing need for many Californians and the lack of access to mental health providers—including psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, professional clinical counselors and marriage & family therapists—has been a long-standing problem in California.

To address the unprecedented demand for mental health services, Anthem Blue Cross has added over 10,000 new behavioral health providers to its network in the past two years. Since 2020, Anthem has seen an impressive growth of over 90 percent in its behavioral health offerings, demonstrating a tireless commitment to enabling access to quality health care and meeting the behavioral health needs of its members. Today, Anthem Blue Cross stands at the forefront with one of the largest care provider networks in California, offering members access to more than 34,000 unique behavioral health practitioners.

We’re seeing an unprecedented demand for mental health care nationwide, including in California. At Octave, we have been laser-focused on offering higher quality care in-network since inception and have found the Anthem Blue Cross team exceptionally forward-thinking in working to address the needs of their plan members

Through this partnership, Anthem members will be able to access Octave's diverse clinicians for personalized, evidence-based care. Making quality care attainable! Traditional therapy platforms focus solely on access, Octave goes further by ensuring the quality of care is just as accessible as the sessions themselves.
