Octave Wins 5 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards

Octave has won all five of the 2023 Top Workplaces Culture Excellence Awards, which recognizes the nation’s best companies in the categories of Leadership, Purpose & Values, Work-Life Flexibility, Innovation, and Compensation & Benefits.

The accolades, issued by Energage, were based entirely on the input of employees through a research-backed, 24-item employee engagement survey. Octave was recognized among companies with 150-499 employees.

“We aspire to build a company that transforms the mental health system to make it more sustainable for mental health providers. We can’t do that without making the work sustainable for our employees as well,” said Octave Co-Founder and CEO Sandeep Acharya. “We believe sustainability comes from a workplace that provides a clear sense of purpose, opportunities for connection, and supportiveness in helping our colleagues grow. We are grateful for these awards and will continue to focus on maintaining and building on our culture in the years ahead.”

Octave is a mission-driven company focused on creating a new standard for mental health care that’s high-quality and accessible for clients and sustainable for clinicians. Employees are connected to this mission, with 94% reporting that they feel their job is meaningful.

Work-life flexibility plays a key role in preventing burnout, a critical risk for clinicians. Since the beginning of the pandemic, burnout is a top concern for clinicians according to a recent American Psychological Association survey

Octave is honored to receive  all five Culture Excellence awards, yet sees this as an opportunity for continuous improvement, said Tricia Sickmann, who recently joined Octave as Chief People Officer. “One of our company values is that we view each other as human beings first, and approaching our work through that lens makes all the difference, from everyday tasks all the way up to the highest-level strategy. Octave’s culture is built on a really strong foundation, and I see tremendous opportunity for this company to lead the way in people experience.”
